I'm Dylan Henry (Preacher is my handle) — a Software Engineer in Test based in American Fork, Utah.

9+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing. I design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks with a focus on reliability, modern tooling, and AI-assisted development workflows.

Experience

Software Engineer 1 — Optilogic (April 2025 – Present)

  • Built a CI/CD test automation pipeline from the ground up with GitHub Actions, Pytest, and Playwright
  • Integrated test reporting into Grafana dashboards for team-wide visibility
  • Led adoption of AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, local LLMs) for test generation and automation maintenance
  • Created onboarding and automation documentation for new QA department

Software Engineer in Test — TestOut/CompTIA (April 2022 – January 2025)

  • Automated web tests using Selenium and Java for educational course content
  • Led testing efforts for the Digital Literacy product
  • Built side-project Playwright + TypeScript automation suites to evaluate framework adoption
